Position Overview
We are hiring a Back of House Team Member (Kitchen Associate) to support food preparation, cooking, baking, and overall kitchen operations.
This is a hands-on, multi-functional kitchen role in a fast-paced all-day café environment. You will work across different stations depending on daily operational needs.
Responsibilities
Prepare fresh food items including breakfast dishes, wraps, bowls, and sushi-style items
Prepare and bake pastries and baked goods according to recipes and daily production needs
Assist with food prep (washing, cutting, chopping, mise en place)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
Restock ingredients and support daily kitchen setup
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties when needed
Support overall kitchen flow during peak hours
Work collaboratively as part of a small kitchen team
Requirements
Previous kitchen, prep cook, or food service experience preferred (not required – training provided)
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods (typically 6–8 hours per shift)
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally (supplies, ingredients, boxes)
Frequent bending, lifting, chopping, and repetitive hand movements
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
Exposure to kitchen equipment, knives, heat, and cleaning chemicals

Compensation
$16.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
